Visit With Santa
KBug walked right up to Santa with arms out and got right up on his lap. He was a little distracted with all the people staring at him and hollering his name while trying to take a picture, but he does like Santa. I asked the boys on the way over to Rochester what they wanted. Dylan wants a Nintendo DS and Dylan's answer for KBug was a Dylan Doll. =) But Keenan's answer was Dahhh (which in Keenan language) is DOG! He loves puppies. I asked him "A puppy, you want a puppy?" He shook his head up & down followed with his "um hmm" Santa is not sure if Mommy and Daddy have been good enough this year to get a family puppy, so I guess Xmas morning only knows.

All Night Long - Zzzzzz
KBug is finally sleeping thru the night! I didn't want to jinx myself so I thought the first couple nights were just me getting lucky, but for the past week - week and a half he hasn't woke up. Thank goodness.

Bop-bop Is Trained
Nov 10th was Grpa Howie's 76th Birthday so the boys and I spent the evening with him. When Grma Bobbie arrive at our house to pick him up I was sharing some of the weeks funny stories. The one in particular was about KBug trying to get Grma Jean to give him another cookie. He is very persistent. Grma kept telling him no because he had already had one. He kept pointing and grunting, finally he gave up, turned around and starting hollering Bop-bop! Bop-bop! Which is Grpa. Grma Bobbie looked at KBug and said boy you got Grpa David trained don't you. Then she asked him "Do you have Grpa trained Keenan?" His cheeks curled up from behind his nookie and he shook his head yes. Boy did we all bust out laughing. Then Grma said "Do you have Mommy trained Keenan?" He turned and looked at me, looked back at Grama and shook his head no. Again we busted out laughing. So we continued with Daddy, which in turn was a yes. And then Grma, which was no. I am pretty sure considering the topic of discussion he is correct.

Trying To Make His Brother Mad
Last night Dylan was playing the Wii (Lego Bat) in his bedroom. KBug loves to play (so he thinks) too. Sometimes I think Dylan has just had enough of his brother and tends to rough house a little harder than he realizes. The boys were having fun playing Wii with each other until KBug started screaming like he often does...and let me tell you he is loud. I could hear Dylan yelling at KBug to be quiet, and of course this just instigates him to scream longer, louder, and more often. Apparently Dylan had enough and got up and made him be quiet. KBug started to cry so Mommy to the rescue. I took him out of Dylan's room, comforting him and tried to play with him. As soon as he was done crying he quickly got off Mommy's lap and started making his way to Dylan's room. I followed to make sure nothing happened. KBug walked into the entry of Dylan's room and started to scream. He just stood in the doorway looking right at Dylan and kept screaming. Stop. Scream again, over and over. All the while staring right at Dylan. Oh boy this little Bug of ours is going to be something else. He tries to let us all now that he isn't taking any crap from anyone.

First Steps
KBug has been walking around furniture FOREVER. Earlier than most babies do according to the books, so I figured he would be walking before he was one. He stands up without holding onto anything for minutes but sits down to crawl when he wants to get somewhere. He just didn't seem like he was interested in walking. I couldn't even get him to walk holding onto my hands. He would much rather be on the floor cruising along; also I think its easier down there to find things to put in his mouth. Grrrr. This past week I was really trying to work with him. He still didn't seem interesting until Friday night when I said "Come on Bug-a-boo you can walk, I know you can. And then you can show Grandma Jean when she gets home. We can surprise her." Seriously his eyes lit up and he smirked, grabbed onto one of my hands and started to walk. He really seemed interested in doing so. Of course the praises he was getting from Daddy, Dylan and myself was motivation in itself. KBug loves applause. By Saturday afternoon he would try to take a few steps to get from the couch to the chair all by himself. And finally as we were walking holding onto one hand I let go and he didn't immediately bend down to the floor. He kept going. So Saturday night when we went to see Grandma Jean he showed her his new accomplishment. Still only at a couple steps he was getting there. And so proud. Grandma said he walked more Sunday afternoon. Sunday evening when Grandpa Howie and Grandpa Bobbie were over KBug walked form me to Grandpa and then again to Grandma Bobbie. This time without me trying to get him to walk; he noticed something to drink in Grandma's hands and went for it. I am guessing he will be a total walker by this weekend.
2 Bottom Lateral Incisors
KBug cut two more teeth this weekend. I noticed they were broke through 9/18. His bottom lateral incisors. These didn't seem to bother him as much as the top ones did but I could tell he was teething. Poor kid, it seems to be his trend to cut two teeth at a time. As if one isn't bad enough.
I Have Had Enough
Keenan had his one year well baby check up on Sept 7; Dylan came to the appointment with us. I decided to have the blood work done with Keenan that I decided against with Dylan. I thought since we just bought a home that was dated back to the 50's that the lead test was a good idea. As we were in the lab Dylan informed the nurses that they better not hurt his baby brother. I didn't realize how bad this was really going to be. I had to lay on KBug's left arm and place my leg on his legs pinning him down (which made him mad instantly) while the nurses began to draw blood. Of course KBug started freaking out. Dylan was in back of us sitting on a chair. The next thing I hear "ALRIGHT I HAVE HAD ENOUGH!!!" shouted Dylan. I turned around and he was standing up on the chair and he was angry. I had to smile. It was that sweet sibling moment of togetherness. Then we made our way to the doctors office. Dylan was just fine in the office until the two nurses came in the room together at the end of the appointment, shot time. Dylan looked at the two nurses and said "I'm watching you and you better not hurt him."

2 New Teeth 8/19
Top right and left lateral incisors
The day(8/18) we spent at the zoo Kbug was a very good boy but he was a little fussy. He had a cold so I just assumed that was the reason. But Friday evening two teeth were broke thru. Poor little guy; as if it isn't bad enough to cut one tooth let alone 2 at the same time.

I Say Mama
KBug finally says mama; but he will only say it when I am doing something and he wants me. So basically I have to ignore him to hear- Mama, ma ma ma, MAMA...mum mum.
A month or so back he hollered MUM MUM...I came running in the room picked him up & said "you said mama, you said mama." He gave me this whatever look and said "dada." What a little Turkey.

KBug's First Public Pool
Loves, loves, loves the water! When we walked into the pool area Keenan's face lit up and he about dove out of Jenna's arms. He was ready to get wet. I set him down and he crawled right into the water and kept going until his head was underwater. He has no fear of the water and loves it.

Family Fun @ The Park
4th of July weekend
KBug had so much fun crawling around in the blow up castle. He would chase his brother around in the tunnels smiling and waving his hands around. It was a little hard for him to make it over the humps but after he got the hang of it there were no more nose dives, which didn't bother him one bit (this kid is tough) =) I would have to say the train was his favorite. He grabbed onto the steering wheel and was driving like you wouldn't believe. We would smile and wave at us when he went by, when he wasn't to busy steering. I don't think Dylan was as impressed with it as KBug, but he was a good sport.
KBug loved the parade. He was dancing when the bands or music went by, was waving at everyone and even got to shake hands with a clown. When the go-karts cruised by his mouth dropped open and he tried to follow them with his head as they zoomed by. He seemed to enjoy almost every part of the parade and it is safe to say the louder the better for his one.
When the fireworks started I wish I would have had my camcorder. KBug's face lit up in awe for a moment and then he went wild. Jumping, clapping, squealing, smiling and more clapping. It is safe to say that he LOVED his first fireworks display.

4th Tooth - Top Left
I noticed KBug's 4th tooth yesterday when we were playing outside. He loves to get tipped upside down. He giggles and giggles, then he will look at you and tip his head back, like more, more. He is such a honey

Water Bug
KBug had his first outdoor pool experience and he LOVES it. I figured he would since he is such a nut in the bath tub. I think if I would of let him he would have dove right in. He was splashing, jumping and giggling the whole time he was playing by the pool with the bigger kids. He definitely has "No Fear" when it comes to the water.
3rd Tooth - Top Right
KBug cut his 3rd tooth on Tuesday June 7th. I don't think this tooth bothered him as much as the first 2, but he was a little more fussy than normal.

Ready To Fight Back
Dylan loves his baby brother so much and most of the time he is a wonderful big brother, but there are moments- flicks in the face, pushes, pulling out the nookie, tip overs, taking away toys, yelling and ignoring. Apparently KBug has had enough. Saturday 5/21 KBug was trying to pull himself up on the couch and fell over while doing so. He was a little whiney after that and nothing seemed to make him happy. He was sitting on the floor fussing when his big brother decided that he needed a hug and thought this would cheer him up. Most of Friday and the beginning of Saturday Dylan hadn't been the nicest to KBug and apparently KBug didn't forget. So when Dylan hugged Keenan, and his hugs are more like head locks, KBug started flaring his arms, made a mad face and threw his body towards Dylan's. And so it begins.....
Waving Bye-Bye
Kbug started waving bye-bye a couple weeks ago, and he does it the right way. Dylan and most other babies that I have seen wave bye bye close their hand inward towards themselves, but KBug closes his hand outward and waves his hand/arm up and down. It is so cute. Whenever we talk about leaving he smiles and starts to wave BYE- BYE! Usually when Mommy is leaving and waves bye bye KBug will wave with his big ol'smile and its like a light goes off and he realizes Mommy is leaving so he dive bombs towards me. He is still quiet the mama's boy.

My New Hot Rod
Dylan handed down his "first hot rod" to KBug and as you can see someone thinks he is super awesome!!! The look on KBug's face as he sat tall on his new ride was priceless. He is definitely the stuff now.

A Day At The Park
Kbug loved getting pushed on the swings by his brother. And the higher the better. Mommy and Kbug went down the big slide and he loved that too. One thing he wasn't sure of is the grass. He made a funny face every time he touched his hand to the ground.
