KBug Found His Voice

This last week Keenan found his voice and he likes it a lot.  He will lay there singing and smiling at you for as long as you let him.  It is so funny because he will make an unfamiliar pitch that surprises him; like who just did that.  He has started to giggle a little as well.

Santa told me Keenan asked for a 52 in. plasma for the nursery.  :) Funny guy that Santa is.

My Big Brother

One person that can make Keenan light up by just waking in a room is his big brother Dylan.  K-Bug would be totally content all day watching his brother.  I love when Dylan sits next to Bug because Bug will stare at Dylan until he looks at him then he will give him a big ol' smile.  This would go on and on!  It is one of the most adorable things I have ever seen.

Like Brother Like Brother

Today Keenan was watching Baby Einstein's: Baby Mozart.  He loves these videos just like Dylan did.  I flashed back 3 plus years when the video started.  My boys look a lot alike but I felt like I was sitting there with baby Dylan.  This little bear playing a violin appears on the screen for the first scene.  Keenan's face lit up, he started kicking his feet and waving his arms, huge smile still intact.  This is EXACTLY the way Dylan reacted to that bear. Watching Dylan watch those videos is one of the many moments that I will remember forever of him when he was a baby. And now of Keenan as well.    It amazed me how similar even their actions are!

Mirror Mirror

KBug loves staring at himself in the mirror.  He gets his legs kicking and arms waving.  He really finds it interesting when mommy or Dylan get their head down next to his and he can see us in the mirror too.

This is another thing Keenan had in common with Dylan at this age.  Same mirror same amazement!

Sleeping With Mommy

Yes Keenan does sleep with Mommy.  I did not learn from Dylan sleeping with me because I loved every minute of it with Dylan and I am loving every minute of it with Keenan.  Since I am nursing it is very easy to just feed Bug while we are cuddled up to each other.  The other night he must not have wanted to wait for Mommy to wake up so he just latched on himself; right onto my nose.  What a way to wake up.   =)

Cooing & Copying

Keenan loves to copy us.  We sit and coo at him and he smiles & coos back.  It seems as though he is trying so hard to talk to us.  He also copies us when we stick out our tongue out at him; or at least tries to do so.  He is such a happy,  good little Bug!

Halloween: The World Champion Belt

First Halloween.
Keenan was the World Champion Belt and his big brother Dylan was of course The World Champion Boxer. They looked so cute. We went to St Marks trick or treating first where Keenan was bright eyed the whole time. Then to the Mapleview parade to scare the ghouls and gobblins out of town, Keenan slept through the entire parade. Last we headed to Rose Creek to see the other Grandma and Grandpa.

Keenan was such a good boy at his 2 month check up. He is very strong for a 2 month old and everything looked great. My poor little guy had 3 shots in his leg and boy he did not like that. He also had to get 1 oral dose which the nurses said does not taste very good...but my little chub acted like it was delicious =) He was in the greater than 90 percentile for his height, weight and head circum. So he is a big boy (really) and well portioned.

Such A Happy Little Guy

I usually get out of bed around 8-8:30 and am awake until 12pm usually. I may take a quick cat nap when I eat. I am definitely a morning person because I am in the best mood. This is the time that I love to play with my Mommy and brother. I will sit on the floor for an hour just kicking my legs and waving my arms around. I try so hard to play with my brother. He likes to lay where I am not able to see him only hear him...I try so hard to get my head turned to look at him but he hides pretty good.

How Keenan Spends His Days

Keenan spends a good majority of the day sleeping, like most new babys do. He is such a good baby. Judging by the size of him I am not surprised that he has a very hardy appetite. I am nursing him but doing some supplementing as well because in the beginning my milk supply was not enough to satisfy him. It is obvious what Keenan prefers because when you try to give him a bottle he shakes his head back and fourth vicously until realizing this is what he is getting. Now that I am mostly just nursing we have started to wonder how hard this is going to be on grandpa when I go back to work. If Keenan is not sleeping he is usually being rock-a-byed, hanging out in his swing or bouncer or playing on the floor with his Mommy and Big Brother Dylan. Floor time usually consists of Keenan trying so hard to move closer to his big brother and talk to him. His legs and arms get going like crazy, his eyes get so big and he looks like he is trying so hard to talk. He seems to want to play with Dylan so badly. Alot of time in his bouncer consists of random acts of Keenan's playful brother trying to catapulte him out. This is something we are trying to break =)
